Effective date: 4 October 2026
Last reviewed: 4 October 2026

ARCEON (PTY) LTD (registration number 2026/632821/07) is a commercial research and intelligence company. We are based in South Africa and work with clients internationally. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

It covers this website and any enquiry, proposal, scoping or project correspondence between us. It does not cover information our clients give us about other people, which we handle under the project agreement.

In plain language

  • We collect what you type into our enquiry form and what you send us by email — nothing more than we need to reply and scope the work.
  • We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
  • You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

1. Information you give us

When you submit an enquiry. Our enquiry form asks for your name, work email, business name, website (optional), the decision you need to make, the market or segment concerned, the service you are interested in, and your timing. You choose what to send.

If we take the enquiry further. We may ask by email for more detail about the decision, its coverage, the outputs you need and any budget range, so that we can confirm the scope and fee.

When you email us. Whatever you include in your message and any attachments.

If we work together. Business and billing details needed to contract with you and invoice for a project, plus the project materials you share. Where a project involves information about other people — for example interview participants or named competitors — we handle it under the project agreement and will tell you what is required before work starts.

Please do not send us passwords, payment-card details, or confidential material we have not asked for. We will never request them in an enquiry form.

2. Information collected automatically

Our hosting and WordPress infrastructure processes technical information needed to serve and protect this website, including IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, and security logs. This data is used to run the site, keep it secure, and investigate abuse.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for third parties’ marketing.

  • Our email, accounting and payment providers, where needed to correspond with you and invoice you.
  • Professional advisers, such as accountants, where required.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose.

Where a provider processes information on our behalf, we require it to protect it and to use it only for the purpose we engaged it for.

5. International transfers

We are based in South Africa and some of our service providers — including our hosting provider — operate or store data outside South Africa, including in the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with POPIA and, where it applies, the GDPR.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: 24 months, then deleted.
  • Enquiries that become projects: for the duration of the project and 5 years afterwards, to meet accounting and legal requirements.
  • Website security logs: 12 months, then deleted or anonymised.

We do not keep information longer than we need it. If you ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep, we will do so.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete information we no longer need;
  • object to certain processing, or ask us to restrict it;
  • withdraw consent where our processing is based on consent;
  • ask us to stop sending you marketing, if we ever send any;
  • lodge a complaint with a regulator (see section 8).

To exercise any of these, email us at hello@arceongroups.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and there is no charge for a reasonable first request.

9. Security

If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as required by law.

10. Children

This website and our services are intended for businesses and professional users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy
