Competitor & Market Decision Brief — US$750 founding price

A fixed-scope, public-source intelligence brief designed around one decision: entering a category, changing positioning or pricing, responding to a competitor, planning a launch or evaluating a market.

The founding scope covers one defined decision, one market or segment and three competitors.

Founding Client Pricing is available to the first three suitable paid clients for this product, subject to fit and scope.

Typical scope

  • One defined decision and market or segment.
  • Normally 3–5 named or research-identified competitors.
  • Positioning, target customer, products or services, visible pricing and routes to market.
  • Relevant customer-review, messaging, channel, search or strategic signals where evidence is available.
  • Comparison of strengths, weaknesses, gaps, risks and implications for the client.

What you receive

  • Executive decision summary.
  • Source-dated competitor profiles and comparison matrix.
  • Facts separated from interpretation and assumptions.
  • Material patterns, differentiators, risks and evidence gaps.
  • The strongest counterargument to the emerging conclusion.
  • A recommendation stating what to do, what not to copy, what to validate next and the confidence level.
  • Source register with direct citations.

Method and quality standard

Arceon defines the decision, sets comparison criteria, gathers current public evidence, cross-checks material claims, records dates, distinguishes fact from inference, analyses commercial implications and challenges the recommendation before delivery. Material factual claims must be traceable to a source; unsupported claims and inaccessible information are not presented as fact.

What is not included

  • Private, proprietary, confidential, covert or improperly obtained competitor information.
  • Guaranteed completeness where competitors do not publish information.
  • Legal opinions, intellectual-property clearance or regulated advice.
  • Primary interviews, mystery shopping, technical testing or paid database access unless separately scoped and authorised.
  • Ongoing monitoring unless converted to a suitable follow-on retainer.

Timing and scope

The US$750 founding brief covers three competitors and is designed for delivery within 7–10 business days after payment and complete intake, subject to evidence availability. Additional competitors, markets, languages, interviews, paid data or technical testing require a separate quote.

What Arceon needs from the client

  • The decision the research must support.
  • The product or service, target customer and relevant geography.
  • Known competitors and why they matter, if available.
  • Current positioning, price range and commercial constraints.
  • Timing, intended use and any questions that must be answered.
  • Any client-supplied information that may materially affect interpretation.
